VILAGARCÍA-CARRIL:

Vilagarcía de Arousa a seaside small town with beautiful streets and squares, lots of palaces and an important port. Palace of A Golpeira in Trabanca, its garden has the most magnificent examples of camellia trees, these camellias have won many prizes in the yearly exaltation festival of this flower. A visit to the river and its abouts may be made on a catamaran (other departures: Cambados and O Grove). Nearby is Carril, famous for its clam cultivation.



VILANOVA-ISLA DE AROUSA:

Vilanova de Arousa, the place of birth of the great writer Ramón María del Valle-Inclán. 
Close by we reach the bridge that crosses to the Island of Arousa and its extraordinary beaches and landscapes.


CAMBADOS:

Cambados, noble town with lots of palaces, the most important of all is the Palace of Fefiñans (17th to 18th Century), in the spectacular square known by the same name, where the Church of San Benito stands, with a 16th Century façade. You should not miss a visit to the interesting ruins of Santa Mariña Dozo, of a romanic style and a Mirador towards Monte de la Pastora (once known as the hill-fort of Santa Mariña). On the way down to your wright hand the Chapel of La Pastora included in a setting founded in 1637. Today´s National Parador is the former Palace of La Calzada, that belonged to the Bazán Family from which descends Emilia Pardo Bazán. Seafood and Albariño wine are highly recommended.


O GROVE- A TOXA- A LANZADA:

O Grove a fishing port famous for its seafood. Nearby is the Island of A Toxa, a luxury tourist complex with facilities like the Casino and a Golf Club. The Peninsula of El Grove is sorrounded by numerous beaches, the best known of all is the beach of La Lanzada, where the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de A Lanzada is (13th Century).


PORTONOVO- SANXENXO:

Sanxenxo a tourist town with crowded beaches, a busy seaside walk and noisy night life. 
Close by is Portonovo a fisherman town with an important port and beautiful beaches.


COMBARRO-POIO:

Poio. Monastry of San Juan de Poio with a great façade and two cloisters, one from the 16th Century and the other from the 18th Century. A couple of kilometres away is the tipical fishing town of Combarro with its peculiar hórreos, houses and cruceiros.


PONTEVEDRA:

Pontevedra, spreads around the mouth of River Lérez. It has important monuments like the Basílica of Santa Maria La Mayor, ogival style from the 16th Century and with a plateresc front; the Church of San Francisco, romanic and gothic style, keeps in its interior the grave of the medieval poet Paio Gómez Chariño; the baroque santuary of La Peregrina; the Ruins of Santo Domingo and the ancient suburb, protected as a historic and artistic set. In Pontevedra´s Museum you may see collections of pre-roman craft works in precious metals, paintings and pottery pieces and an extraordinary library.

CALDAS DE REIS
Caldas de Reis on the banks of River Umia, we outstand the Thermal Health Resort (Balneario) and El Robledal Park protected as a pintoresc spot.

RÍAS BAIXAS

CATOIRA:

At the mouth of the River Ulla are the remains of the West Towers from the 11th Century to defend Santiago from the Viking attacks.
