In Souto de Sísamo, ancient location of a Celtic fort, D. Manuel Posse de Sotto, an Inquisitor from Santiago de Compostela, enlarged and modified the existing tower building in its place this magnificent manor house, where he administered the tributes of the surrounding lands leased to the “Irmandiños”. Forty years later, it was transferred to the Montenegro Marquises family. In the 20^th century, the feudal decadence arose and this place was abandoned being only used between the 50’s and 70’s as the school of the town. The current owner, D. José Tabo Suárez spent his childhood and education bound to the Pazo do Souto and, after 27 years of emigration in Switzerland, he decided to recover the splendour of the building and he built this rural accommodation.
